Dr. Allison Young

As an astute physician, Dr Allison Young began her medical career as a Medical Aesthetic practitioner licensed and practising in the state of Florida, who emerged through many other areas of the beauty and wellness industry. From working as an Aesthetician, Skin Care Instructor, Equipment and pharmaceutical sales representative, she found a special obsession and intriguing nature for the essence of Skin and Aesthetics, which grew as she transitioned from one class to another, broadening her knowledge in different cosmetic procedures, transforming one skin to another from various ethnicities.
After seven years of working in several areas of Laser, Cosmetics and Corrective Skin care, she migrated into business in Jamaica, hence the birth of Body Essentials Wellness Day Spa, which later morphed into what is now a transition known as Body Essentials Surgical Skin Center. As a premier modern Dermatology center, we are focused on providing medical, surgical and cosmetic skin solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, laser hair removal, botox, fillers, non-surgical face lifting, body contouring, fat grafting, skin and scalp conditions and a vast range of skin diseases and disorders. Upon completion of four rigorous years of medical school through a US medical program, eight month of rigorous fast track training at the Jackson Park Memorial Hospital in Chicago Illinois she then returned to the Caribbean to continue her professional training at Mandeville Regional Hospital for two and half years which led her to acquiring her post graduate training in Cosmetic Dermatology completed in Europe and a Diploma in Wound Care Specialty in the United States. ​

​She now enjoys travelling and providing several concierge services to private patients while operating two Private practices in the Caribbean, Kingston, St Andrew and Mandeville, Manchester. Her quest to redefine skin with cutting-edge technology has brought her many offers, great friendships and associates with whom she enjoys sharing knowledge while collaborating with other specialities. She strived to one day empower others to do the same and build a corporate entity which offers other medical specializations to enjoy the same freedom to work and enjoy a wholesome family life. Her quiet time is spent mostly at the beach, trailing hidden gems in the museum or sneaking off to explore an Equestrian. One day, she hopes to acquire a Country Club fit for a modern Equestrian Club offering Pony Jumping.
